The day reminds me about one of the life events of Lord Krishna. As a child, Krishna was very naughty. One day, while playing
in the fields, little Krishna secretly ate mud. His friends went and told
Yashoda about this. When Krishna returned home, Yashoda caught Krishna by his
ears and scolded him for putting dirt in his mouth. Krishna promptly replied
that he had a fight with his friends in the morning and to take revenge they
were all lying and that Yashoda shouldn't believe them. When the supreme personality of godhead Krishna was so ordered by his mother, He immediately opened his mouth just like an ordinary boy.
By looking inside lord Krishna's mouth mother Yashoda felt herself to be whirling in space, lost in time, for inside the baby mouth was seen the whole universe of moving and unmoving creation, the earth and its mountains and oceans, the moon and the stars, and all the planets and regions. She was wonder-struck to see the land of Vraja and the village of Gokula, herself standing there with the child Krishna beside her with a wide-open mouth, and within that mouth another universe, and so on and on and on.
